This year we are upgading the led lighting. The lamp that sets between the two recliners, had broken at the top we had a small lamp with a 120 volt compact florecent bulb that recieved its power from the inverter. |

They also sell the mr16 base for $1.95 I had some left over from past projects
We were able to go from 14 watts @ 120 volts plus what wver the inverter was pulling as a paricitic load, to 1.5 watt power usage.
When boondocking this will not be noticed...
After much thought I decided on this lamp purchased from Lowes
The above photo shows the black candle base removed, A MR16 base was installled and set in silicone . also the wire that holds the shade was JB welded in place, it was lose and removable not good for being in motion with the trailer.
The above photo shows the lamp with the led light installed the following day ready to install in the trailer
Lamp installed in the trailer, It uses the 12 volt system for power, no need to run the inverter as before. a toggle switch was inatalled on the front of the cabnet and wiring was run under the table top. Gives a nice background glow..
